The snow hike was something I though that I would never have any interest in. I thought hiking in the snow would take away from all of the colors that nature had to offer. Well taking that step and trying something new was one of the most rewarding things that I have done in a long time. Get out there!

Mt. Pilchuck hike 11/13/14
Hike: Mt. Pilchuck
Date: 11/13/14
Distance/Gain: 5.4miles 2300ft gain
Rating: 8/10
VERY icy trip. This was my first taste of late fall hiking, and I was not prepared. I purchased some cheap spikes (Ill review later) and it could have been a dangerous purchase.
We got to 4400 feet before deciding the risk was not worth the reward. But I can see why people do this hike. I will be going again.
First Post!
First Post!
I’m Travis. a recreational hiker from Washington State.
I have always been into the outdoors and nature, and have recently been attempting to go on a new hike weekly. Luckily for me Washington has A LOT of hikes to offer!
This year I have completed Wallace Falls, Lake TwentyTwo, Heather Lake, Mt. Pilchuck, Mt.Si, Rattle Sake Ledge, Snow lake, Thunder Creek, and Oyster Dome.
With this blog I will be uploading pictures from the hikes, gear needs/reviews, trip reports, and whatever else comes to mind!
Hope you enjoy my adventures!
